Yoga.in is run by a small team made up of passionate and independent people working from all parts of the world.
Steve Lavrador
Steve is the project manager for yoga.in. He defines the website's roadmap, plans new features and coordinates their visual design and technical implementation, and oversees the content writing team.
Besides a growing interest in yoga, his main passion is surfing and he organizes his life in Bali according to the moods of the Indian Ocean.
Steve's goals include: make yoga.in the best website for yoga in India, travel to see new landscapes and taste new foods, learn yoga, and keep surfing all the while.
Mathias Stricker
Mathias started his first Internet project way back in the year 2000. He was thrilled by the Internet and its possibilities, and remains so today. He is managing director of the Earth.org GmbH, which has launched several websites with a focus on Yoga and Ayurveda.
After living in Italy and Berlin for several years, Mathias came to Munich in South Germany. He enjoys meaningful projects, sports, excursions to the close mountains of the Alps, and the relaxing mood of a metropolis which modestly calls itself "The Village of a Million Inhabitants". He loves working remotely - thanks to the Internet - with a great team of people from all over the world.
Otto Stricker
Otto Stricker is the entrepreneurial force behind yoga.in, one of a small handful of beloved Internet-based projects, in which he now plays a team role.
Originally from Germany, Otto is a citizen of the world, regularly traveling as the power of the Internet allows him to connect with his team from almost anywhere on the map. 2011 saw Otto traveling through India (where he lived for four years), researching for the book Yoga In India - A Journey to the Top 24 Yoga Places, the hard-copy partner to the yoga.in website.
As well as yoga, Otto enjoys practicing surfing, preferably in Bali.
David García Watkins
David has been into computers for 25 years with the last 12 being dedicated solely to the Internet. His role for yoga.in is mainly involved with PHP development and system administration. In other words: making things work.
David lives in the countryside of the sunny South of Spain with his partner and pets. He enjoys reading, listening to music, walking (with the dogs), cycling and carpentry.
Gayathiri Senthil
Gayathiri is a PHP web developer for yoga.in. She has 4+ years of web development experience.
She lives in Farmington Hills, Michigan, in the Unites States with her husband and 2 kids. She moves around a lot so she likes to work remotely.
Gayathiri loves to paint, go for a long drive, listen to music and spend time with her family.
Dmitriy Kanivets
Dmitriy is a front end developer for yoga.in, responsible for the HTML, CSS and JS. He has 7+ years of web development and 5+ years focused on client-side technologies.
Dmitriy is working remotely from Kiev, Ukraine, and enjoys cars and travel.
Imogen Moore
Imogen is a freelance writer from New Zealand. Her relocation to the Netherlands happened after she and her daughter set off on a European adventure. The adventure turned into a settlement and the pair are now joined by Imogen's partner and their young son.
As well as working with yoga.in, she has penned two books for expatriates relocating to Melbourne or Barcelona and has written for an eclectic range of travel, lifestyle, and other sites.
When not working, raising children or learning Dutch, Imogen enjoys books, travel and being with her family.
Carrie Mabie Carrie has extensive interest in design, travel, languages, cultures and media arts. She is constantly re-inventing herself – thanks to her love for learning and adventure – but always finds her ground in yoga. Born and raised in the US, and then having lived in France and Spain for several years, she now finds her home in India. She's excited to keep you informed and intrigued about the many facets of yoga in India through the site's blog, social media pages, and videos.
Belén Matos
Belén is an Argentine Artist and Graphic Designer. In 2006 she held her first art show in Buenos Aires at Mite Gallery. She has worked for several well-known brands like Nokia, Christian Lacroix, and L'Oréal in different companies and design studios. And a very special thanks to these folks who generously contributed their graphic talents to the project:
