Prashant Yogashraya

The yoga school of Prashant (Arun) is in the center of Bangalore, in a small, quiet side street and neighbourhood. The teacher and his teaching is amazing. He's been a direct and close student of Mr. Iyengar for well over twenty years and has been teaching in his own studio for over 25 years. He integrates in his teaching and classes all the Prop's like chairs, belts and blocks. It is a very well equipped Iyengar Studio and accommodates up to 40 people.
His many students are mostly from the neighborhood. Women in their salwar kameez and men in their pants and shirts. No yoga mats. Each class has a good number of students working on personal programs for injuries and illnesses, and while teaching the class he interjects quickly to modify their programs without leaving the class behind.
There are some Western students attending his classes. They work mostly closly with him for a couple of weeks or month. The center is a local one, so you have no food or accommodation.
He is very relaxed, teaches in a number of languages at the same time and cracks one joke after the other.
The school is open all year, from Monday to Sunday and offers classes from early morning (6.15am till evening at 6.45pm).
