Siddhartha Yoga and Ayurveda Centre offer courses, retreats, and yoga classes in the tradition of the father of yoga Patanjali. Our head instructor Shivam was born locally and has been studying yoga and meditation for over 17 years at a variety of schools around India. His Guru is Dooninath Babaji, who he takes his most potent information and experience from. Additionally, he studied the science of Ayurveda at a college in Rishikesh and offers his Ayurvedic Massage to his students. Shivam has taught yoga internationally and has taught countless Westerners this ancient practice from the East.
Our yoga teacher training course in the style of Ashtanga Yoga is offered regularly and aims at giving students and practitioners the tools, skill, and confidence to make the transition into teacher-hood. Introduction to Ayurveda and philosophy of yogic lifestyle are offered in addition to asana, pranayama, and meditation. The training is offered in either a 3 months long stretch or a one-month long intensive program. The cost of this program is $1,100 and is inclusive of accommodations, food, tuition, and all training materials. The 3 healing meals provided are all based on Ayurveda. We are also taking applications for a future advance teacher training program.
