Conveniently located and accessible for all, The Chennai Iyengar School of Yoga Centre is proud to represent the Shri BKS Iyengar Lineage of Yoga and Yoga Therapy. Our Yoga Centre is fully stocked with all Iyengar designed necessities for properly practicing Iyengar Yoga, mats, blocks, pillows, simmhasan bench, chairs, etc. Located near the Vadapalani Bus Depot we are easy to find and ready to assist all in their yoga and healing processes.

Head instructor and founder of the centre here in Chennai is K. Nilavazhagan alias Senthil, he has been practicing yoga for more than 10 years and has made a commitment to the yogic lifestyle since his first starting of the practice. His educational background shows this commitment spending more than 4 years studying and then instructing at the Asana Andiappan College of Yoga and Research Institute, then spending more than 2 years practicing, studying, and instructing in Pune with the Iyengar family. He has been honored to receive the Certificate to instruct Yogasanas of the Intermediate Junior Course level 2, and the Primary Course of Pranayama from the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in December 2010. His commitment is in the field of yoga therapy to facilitate the healing needs of people of any age and any background.
General Iyengar Yoga classes at the center are taught from Monday to Saturday every week, the first class is from 6am to 7am, followed by 7am to 8am, then in the evening from 5pm to 6pm and again from 6pm to 7pm. Yoga Therapy treatments hours are available from Monday to Friday from 3-5pm and on Saturday from 3-7. Yoga therapy sessions are available by appointment only and are range from one and a half to two hours in length.
