Yogamea Yoga School teaches hatha yoga teacher courses that meet the requirements of Yoga Alliance standards for 200-hour courses. This first level of training is essential for all aspiring yoga teachers and it will build the foundations of you existing practice and bring in yoga philosophy and anatomy to help you develop your knowledge and understanding of yoga!
Syllabus for the 200-hours
(These are guidelines from Yoga Alliance – some of these hours are contact hours and others are self-study.)
Techniques, Training & Practice – 100 hours
Teaching Methodology – 25 hours
Anatomy & Physiology – 20 hours
Yogic Philosophy, Lifestyle & Ethics – 20 hours
Practice – 10 hours
Evaluation will be carried out only for those students who have a minimum of 90% attendance in all 4 weeks of training.

Three healthy vegetarian, ayurvedic meals are provided daily as well as tea & water throughout the day. Special food requests can usually be catered for.
You will be staying in a private room with en-suite bathroom in the beautiful Agonda Palace Resort, situated right along Agonda River, less than 5 minutes from Agonda Beach. The rooms are clean & comfortable and we have our yoga studio & restaurant right on site!
Goa is the nearest airport, but you can also fly to Mumbai and take a train or bus down. We can arrange taxis from the airport upon your arrival or help you with onward travel plans.
You will normally need to get a visa before you travel so please look into this once you decide to join us from abroad!
