The Kerala Ayurveda & Yoga Retreat (KARE) can be found nestled away in a picturesque mountain valley of Mulshi, just an hour by road from Pune. With breathtaking sunrises over the Mulshi Lake, KARE is a perfectly secluded and calming destination for Ayurvedic treatment and medical yoga practice.
Simple yet charming cottages allow guests a peaceful environment throughout their stay. Each cottage is fitted with modern facilities to ensure absolute comfort, and our friendly staff are always on hand to further assist any of your needs. A well equipped yoga studio and an open walled meditation hall are the luxurious learning spaces at our guests’ disposal.
Our founder and medical director Dr. Kalmadi and his team are passionate about yoga as a customized therapy rather than simply a set of practices. Our centre follows the teachings specifically designed by renowned yogacharya B.K.S.Iyengar who offers his guidance to our devoted instructors. With the use of various props and equipment you will be assisted in developing your own Yoga practice, a practice that will release your pre thought limitations, opening your mind, body and soul to create a state of balance.
Our world–class boutique health and wellness resort offers carefully-administered Ayurvedic treatments and therapies to complement our yoga teachings. Duration of treatment ranges from half or full day, to programs that extend for a couple of weeks. Simple body massage is available right through to Panchakarma. A full list of treatment packages and fees are available on our website. A customized diet, true to classical Ayurveda tradition is also developed for each guest that will optimally nourish and harmonize the individual body and assist therapy and treatments. Our philosophy, derived from Ayurvedic teaching, is that timely prevention is better than cure.
